Today, Runzheimer’s application of technology for mileage capture has broadened offerings, enhancing the value proposition of business vehicle programs beyond accurate mileage reimbursements. Runzheimer’s first client to use Equo Intel was an electrical company out of Chicago. Suffering territory coverage issues and hoping to boost interactions with prospective customers, they were looking for ways to analyze worker activity in a simple manner.

Equo Intel is another offering from Runzheimer, providing additional data such as miles driven and locations visited, time spent with customer, drive time and activities performed. With Equo Intel, companies can analyze worker’s activity in a simple intuitive manner.

With separate dashboards for workers and managers, the software allows managers to search each worker by details such as travel time, location, direction, and travel speed. Leveraging their partnership with Tableau, a company producing interactive data visualization products, Runzheimer provides decision makers with the ability to easily analyze data with visualization capability. In addition, Equo Intel integrates with Salesforce to ingest client data that allows mobile workers to access client meeting itineraries within their Equo app.
For the electrical company, Equo Intel provided clear metrics on face-to-face sales call frequency information and flagged locations that received little to no attention. The client used this data as part of their sales campaign to target these underserved prospective clients and used Equo Intel to track progress. Within 30 days, the client saw a significant increase in activity related to the underserved accounts and projected a revenue increase of 15 percent from these unserviced accounts.
Runzheimer aims to augmenting the performance of Equo with Artificial Intelligence (AI). “We will soon introduce a new platform that leverages AI and Machine Learning to create a dynamic connection between users and location data. The platform focuses on improving the sharing of data between various diverse teams while allowing them to build synergy to convert more client interactions into favorable business outcomes,” concludes Donna.
